504 Reasonable Accommodations

The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) and its instrumentalities are committed to providing equal opportunity for all individuals to participate in and benefit from its programs and housing opportunities, in full compliance with state and federal fair housing laws. We are dedicated to ensuring that all individuals, (including individuals with disabilities and families that include a member with disabilities), have equal access to the programs and services offered at the property and to fair and equitable housing opportunities. Whenever feasible, physical or procedural adjustments will be made to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.

Reasonable Accommodation Requests & Interactive Process

Request for a Reasonable Accommodation (RA) should be submitted to your Property Management (PM) orally or in writing . The PM staff will engage in an interactive discussion with the resident or applicant to understand the accommodation being requested and to explore appropriate and effective alternatives if needed. Residents or applicants may be asked to provide necessary verification to confirm that the accommodation requested is reasonable. After reviewing the accommodation request and receiving all necessary information, a written decision will be provided to the resident or applicant within 30 days of request.

Appeals of Reasonable Accommodation decisions made by Property Management should be submitted to the HACLA Asset Management to AM504@hacla.org
