Asim Mohammed
Asim Mohammed joined the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) in 2023 as the Information Technology Director, overseeing IT strategy, operations, IT Security and infrastructure to support the organization’s business objectives. He leads digital transformation, innovation, and aligns technology investments with HACLA's goals.
Previously, Asim was Assistant Chief Information Officer for the City of Pasadena, where he led the creation of innovative online portals for residents and businesses. He began his public sector career at the Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA) as Assistant IT Manager, automating processes and earning multiple awards, including the Los Angeles County Productivity and Quality Award and the Government Finance Officers Association Award for Excellence. In 2010, Government Technology Magazine recognized him as an Outstanding IT Manager.
Asim believes in using technology to enhance productivity and simplify work.
Asim enjoys camping and hiking in national parks like Yosemite and the Rocky Mountains.
