RAD Redevelopments

Home Section 8 RAD Redevelopments

The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) is transitioning public housing properties to long-term, project-based voucher (PBV) assistance through the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program for 21 of its developments. As part of this transition, HACLA has open site-based waiting lists for each of these properties, and applications are now being accepted.

Occupancy Standards

HACLA’s Occupancy Standards determine the number of bedrooms a family qualifies for based on the number of household members. You may apply to any available site-based waiting list. However, if you apply to a property that does not meet your family’s bedroom size needs according to the occupancy standards outlined below, your application will not be selected unless your family composition changes, and you then meet the occupancy standards for the available units.
